Thank you! I had originally gone with the Prestige, but ended up with Premium Plus. Don't need Head-Up Display or the surround view camera's.

Trust me I know! I have a deposit down on an RS4 Avant that I put down when it was supposed to come here. Will get that back and reevaluate. Need to think about what would be good to add to the stable vs good as a standalone option.

Had been thinking RS3 in dark blue, call it Magnum - as in same exact "look" as Blue Steel. But since I plan on keeping my vert indefinitely, something bigger as a compliment would make more sense.

Hmmm. Damn you for getting me thinking about another new car. I must admit the S5 SPORTBACK looks like it would work nicely for what I need, about $60K before discount once I dodad it up like I'd want. That's not bad at all.

The M235 convertible is staying put, the 328 stage 2 wagon won't be going anywhere either. The S5 would fill a nice gap there. And I think it's a better machine than the 440 GC that's about the same $-wise.

Test drove the S5 SB, it's a great car, much more interesting than the 440i GC. Interior is superb. But since neither come with a manual, I couldn't do either, but the S5 may very well become the next Spousal Transit.

And you knew perfectly well that VW/Audi would never let us have an S4 or RS4 Avant ever again.

LOL! It's the way to go! I was actually thinking about the Sportback originally. Residuals are horrible though and discounts aren't as strong. They are selling like hotcakes! Are you looking Looking at Prestige or Premium Plus?

The S5 Sportback is all kinds of sexy. Been seeing them pop up here and there lately.

Prem+. I tend to avoid Prestige when looking at Audis rarely makes sense for me. The S5 SB is probably the only Audi I'd seriously consider right now, it looks nice as hell I need to get over there and test drive one.

Slightly off topic but since Audi is known for its interiors - I got a card in the mail to get $75 to drive a Volvo. Took the S90 out. Holy shit. Swedes with a Chinese bankroll really know how to do up an interior.

Wise man. 99% of the bitching we all do about that and a variety of other topics goes out the window in a DD situation. In my not so humble opinion most folks could save themselves some $ and actually have a more enjoyable DD experience if they went down a bit in car. 340 vs M3, S5 vs RS5, etc.

Is awd better or worse than a one wheel drive BMW? Having had a 135i, X1 35i and 328i, I'd take awd over BMW's stupid eDiff any day. The X1 was a heavy thing, but it put power down better than either rwd one. Negate all this if talking M cars, but my wife hates the harsh ride of the F80.
