Yes, they underrate their HP figure but they do it across the board for the most part. If M5 Comp is underrated so is the base model. In other words, the real life delta in HP between the base and the competition is probably going to be inline with what they claim on paper.

To all the USA buddies freaking out, don't worry given our taxes and crazy price gouging your price is probably $2000. Lol ok not that low but you know what I am getting at.

Australian pricing talk below:

Thanks for the pricing and details. I think i've read the B&W option is a $6500 stand alone option. So it's a $13500 extra for the rest.

The F80 Comp pack gets you something similar (Less the carbon fibre engine cover) for $5000. So you are really paying an extra $8500 (More than the F80) for some really nice wheels (Keeping in mind
we haven't seen them yet) and a carbon fibre engine cover.

Any ways having said all that. When you are paying $220,000 for an M5 what's another 10% to get the car you want.

Makes the F80 cp @ $5k a no brainer. Do oz m5 come with 19s stock? If so then the 20k is getting there (with the hifi) but not quite value for me.

Just did the conversion and that's still 170k USD which isn't cheap at all Base 911 Turbo is 160k USD so that's a definite contender. Although not a sedan still same power bracket and a lot of car for the money as well. Certainly as quick as well

Oh I can believe it. The taxes and fees over there and in some other cities is brutal :/

Which is why some of my friends said it's smarter to buy expensive watches instead of cars in Taiwan. A 100k Patek Philippe in the US will be similarly priced in Taiwan. But cars is double the price.

But you can't exactly drive a Patek Philippe....

Yeah wait till the US announce the pricing, I am certain it won't be 20k. Like I said before, CP for my F10 was 20k, B&O was 8k, but the US has entirely different pricing.

With regarding to audio, yes, finally found someone agree with me. All these upgraded audio sonically still very bad. But I admit I still got them for the looks, same for CCBs.

Do you know if it will be the same Exhaust from the First edition M5 or something different?

I've purchased quite a few M cars in the last couple years from a BMW owned factory dealership, which means that it's not a dealership owned by a sub company like Trivett here in Australia, BMW group themselves own and run the dealership. They have direct contact with the guys in Munich and after shopping around a few dealers before making a order they were the only ones to have any information on the comp pack.

Now let's get started; Australia will only see the comp pack for orders now on. The first and launch edition is sold / already allocated.

The price of the comp pack in Australia is $20k. Including the following;
  • B&W Hifi standard
  • Carbon fibre engine cover standard (two parts over the engine and charge air coolers at the front of the engine)
  • Suspension is lower -7 / 10mm front and rear
  • Usual black grills badges side vents etc
  • 460kw (616hp) torque not confirmed
  • Competition Package specific exhaust tuning same as latest M3 comp pack, cracks burbles on the over run.
  • Sports exhaust standard on top of tuning
The full information is going to dealers in the April bulletin. With only some of the information was given to me as it was directly effecting my order. E.g I was about to pay for the B&O twice.

My build will be in July this year delivery the last week of September. Australia has 20 cars allocated.

I have the order form, Australian options list with pricing if anyone wants to PM me. (Comp pack isn't on the options list yet, before anyone asks)

Can't wait to see my Frozen Dark Silver w Tartufo Leather, the long wait is now on

Agreed. The HK sounds fine to me in my F90, and I am willing to bet that the Bowers sounds no where near 3k better. Its a car. I dont care if you pump 30k into a car stereo..it will never sound good. I may be biased, being a serious audiophile at home...but just my opinion.

Congratulations on the new car!

I was over the moon that the option was included reducing my build by $6.5k

More then likely US Comp Pack will be a very different spec to Australia, making it a option less the 10k US
