So to conclude the discussion on the drip rails, according to BMW retrofit manual, you should change all 4.

I've been all 4 in the kit and I'll continue to do so in the future.

I had to change all 4 as well. I don't think using old rails is possible for proper coverage plus they are not that expensive anyways.

Why would anyone go to the trouble and expense of doing this retrofit and NOT get the gutters for the lights?

It's asking for future trouble and turns a good job into a half-arsed one.

Exactly, you are spending $1,100 to $1,300 bucks and you are going to reuse a cheap piece of rubber that may "fit" but not correctly. I think most of us are on the same page. Get 4 new gutters.

Alright, when I installed the lights and had it coded, I never checked out the brake lights. I checked out the Euro blinkers and made sure the welcome lights worked. This morning I looked in the mirror while braking against a glass reflection and discovered that only the inner lights are illuminating brighter while braking. Nothing has changed in terms of software updates, wiring, etc. It had to be this way from the get go. I have reached out to Vic, but wondering if anyone else had a similar issue after coding and needed more coding to fix it?

Thanks for the instructions. Followed to a T and was able to install these in about an hour.

No rewiring required plug and play for North American model f90 M5C.

Much appreciated.

What’s the consensus/conclusion on which wires to jump from inner to outer lights when installing Euro lights on a North American car?

Euro posted one instruction early on and then Joe, you mentioned another pin jump.

In the middle of installing these finally and just waiting on which wire to jump.

FYI, the euro set I got from Abdul included 4 trim pieces. Finally have some time this week to install them after weeks of sitting there. How do they act without coding if I install them and schedule time with a coder later?

For anyone jumping or running wires to the BDC, this sheathing works really well to protect the wires:

EDIT:
Apologies, but I just realized I posted the 1/8” cable sleeve. You need the 1/4” sleeve.

If interested, buy this one:

100ft - 1/4 inch PET Expandable Braided Sleeving – Black – Alex Tech braided cable sleeve https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074GM1PK1...RAKZC33PY56BRS

You jump from empty pin 4 on the inner to pin 1 on the outer. Basically splice pin 1 on the outer then run it to pin 4 on the inner which is vacant after the rewrite from euro on post 1.

Yes, pin 4 inner to pin 1 splice outer. There is no other option for the jump method.

I'll wait for your video, but on the surface, it's too bad these look so ricey.

At least these one at least try to copy OEM, no clue if they are plug and play with no coding needed.

Happy to report to everyone here that I received a batch of lights today. All past orders are going out today and tomorrow. And my next shipment is coming on Friday. No more delays in shipping! I'll be able to ship these lights out within 48 hours after receiving the order.

A good part of my work is selling taillights and headlights for BMW's. I've yet to see lights this beautiful. They are just drop dead gorgeous and "must have" mod for our cars.

Abdul, thanks for the great deal on these. If I may suggest one change to your shipping method though: please put some plastic wrap on the cardboard itself before laying down the lights on them. In shipment, they are getting ever so slight scratches on them (easily fixed with some buffing, but could be avoided).

That's what I did this time. Thanks for the suggestion. I put them on a cardboard and also wrapped it with bubble wrap. You would think BMW would do a great job wrapping these things, but they don't! I opened all the boxes and rewrap them all the lights and pack them safely in another box for added protection.

Hello.
Please tell me, if I install the euro version on a car with rear fog
The wiring for the rear fogs is connected to pin 5 of the inner light.
Do I connect that wire to pin 4 after reassembly?

If you have a rear fog wire you can use it as the 5th wire needed for the Euro tails. Yes, this will be moved to pin 4, but you also have to move it at the BDC.

This is all detailed in the last 4 pages or so of this thread, including colors of wires and where to move it to at the BDC.
