Deionizer for car washing
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Just used this baby for the first time yesterday in full sun of course and it was magical. I did use it for full wash (many just do for final rinse) as I wanted to test it out fully. The water behaved so differently it was like it wouldn’t sit still on the paint (note I am ceramic coated) and washed off soap easily. I watched carefully as it began drying fast in some areas and there was absolutely zero water spots. Again, water going in was 75 tds but coming out was 0 tds. There are several different manufacturers and models out there and after extensive research I chose this one over the rest: https://spotfreefinish.com/store/DI-Pro-50D-p105868875 |

Does this give you any indicator of how much resin is left or how many gallons you used? I’ve never owned one of these but I think the only name I can think of is CR Spotless. It looks like this company takes direct aim at CR since it mentions being more efficient them in the description lol. Do you even bother drying your car? Like can you just use a leaf blower and not even take a towel to it with this

I have a spigot for hot and cold water in the garage both come from the softened water (outside spigots are straight from the well) and washing cars with the softened water is much better. (Softened AKA filtered via resin water softener).
I have done the leaf blower thing, that works pretty well for drying. Just noisy LOL. Mike

I have the large rebranded adams polish one made by on the go or whatever it’s called, it has a bypass valve also and it used 15 lbs of resin for 0 TDS. Works great.

Not helpful if you use a drying aid for slickness however, as that will require a towel.

Funny you just posted this today. I literally just used my new CR Spotless system yesterday for the first time. I was a little disappointed, as it wasn't perfect, but I don't think that's because of the system. I used a pressure washer for the final rinse using the CR system and I still got some water spots on the roof and throughout the car but still no where near as bad as it would be if I just left it without the system.
My wheels came out almost perfect - no spots. So I think it's mostly because I didn't get all the water off the car that was there before. Gonna have to try again next time and see if I can get more water off. |

i also use DI water from start to finish. i have a whole home resin system though too that knocks down the hardness quite a bit already but for some reason it still gives me water spots on the car so i added the CR. Prety good results since. But i also blow dry with my EGO and im PPF and ceramic coated so the water really doesnt have a chance to stick.

Just ordered the one in the original post, so we'll see when it gets here. Part of the reason I don't wash the X5 by hand is because I don't want to dry it. Here's hoping that alleviates that problem!
