Voodoo Blue BMW M5 Competition Detailed Review

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Came across a very detailed review of the new M5 Competition in Voodoo Blue.

Towards the end, he ranks it along with the E63s. RS7, and Panamera Turbo S, and the M5 comes out on top.

Hmm, I'm not too sure about that. The neutral revs sound the same as pre-LCI, but I did not hear any pops and bangs after he let off the throttle (which is plentiful and loud AF in my car); I only heard the upshift "farts" in the video.

Having driven the new RS6 which isn’t a million miles from how the RS7 dives and as someone who owns the M5C I would put it first with the M5C a close second. The M5C is a superior car to drive quick but on the road the RS6/7 is so accomplished and unlike the M5C rides extremely well I would rate to the easier of the two to live with daily.

In all honesty all four are so closely matched that they are all winners and anyone would be happy owning either.

RS7 first, but only if you tune it

Very pretty color on this M5, and a nice change from the usual grays and blacks. Really appreciating that the 5er got much smaller updates to its design than some other bimmers.

Damn this is a long review but the guy is very thorough and goes over pretty much every system in the car.

Gosh, this LCI M5C is hard to find any faults with— makes me want to swap out my Comp M6GC!

My biased view is that the M5 is about 7/10 in the looks department relative to our M6's

Though you cannot dismiss the sheer performance of that thing and looks way better proportioned than the M8GC

with my ADHD brain, this is the longest review I have watched. I usually tap out after 20-30min

Phenomenal car but tiresome review. I was worried he would spend a half hour in the rear seat alone. It went from super informative to hard to keep my eyes open.
