Congratulations! From my experience last week with the dealership, BMW NA will not let you configure the car with the Carbon Pro Spoiler without adding the front splitter. Super lame and annoying so I'm just gonna purchase/install the spoiler at the dealership. I wish it was a port installed accessory as that would allow it to residualize...oh well.

I was debating whether or not to get full leather and decided to do it. I ordered Brands Hatch Gray with Silverstone in full merino leather...I can't wait to see it in person. I'm leasing and it only added like ~ $40 to the payment. I feel like the full leather makes it looks "special" if that makes sense.

Good move on the Full leather .. well worth it IMO.

Thank you! Yeah I read a couple of threads that talked about the splitter and spoiler issue. Let’s see what my CA says as I haven’t had him check yet because I’m still waiting for him to send me a price sheet. Otherwise will have to buy after and get it installed at the dealer.

I have gone back and forth on the full vs extended so many times in the past week! I do like the extended because the black sensatec gives good contrast with the brown. I think I can’t get over the extra 3500 for what seems like a small amount of additional leather, and trying to get a sense if the full option would be too much leather, at least with Aragon.

Getting full leather with the spoiler and diffuser added about $60 to my monthly, so wondering if I should spend that money on port installed accessories instead.

I am still debating on full vs extended leather, and have reviewed so many pictures and threads, but haven't decided yet!

For port-installed accessories, looking to get the performance spoiler pro (if it's possible without having to get the CF spiltter) and the CF diffuser. I'll look into the side skirts, side grilles and reflector deletes after delivery. I am still waiting on my CA to send me the list of accessories available.

First M, not my first BMW. I am adding to the Audi's I already have and am extremely excited about this car! Can't wait

Congrats! Always great to see another M enthusiast in Indiana.

Pictures don't show the stark difference between the extended and full leather. If you have the ability to see and feel both in person, I would highly recommend it.

If you're leasing, get as many of the accessories as you can port installed so that they are residualized. The side skirts don't appear in the online configurator, but they can be ordered by your CA.

Thanks!! Yeah I saw your build post too and thought to myself, I have an M to ride with!

Yeah I am still going back and forth on the leather. I like the extended look with the black sensatec for contrast, and I keep looking at pictures of the full leather in the hopes that I can be swayed, but it hasn't moved me. I am also worried that with the full leather, there might be too much aragon in the cabin. So well see! I still have time to edit the build.

For accessories, looking at the pro spoiler (if I can without the front splitter), rear CF diffuser, and CF mirror caps for now. Might do CF side grilles and maybe the side skirts, but I didn't like the big M performance on the side.

Thanks for your response and looking forward to your build updates!

Update to my build: Another data point regarding the spoiler pro, as others stated in their build threads, it forces the CF splitter which is very annoying.

I also decided to stick with extended leather, removed the moonroof and went back to the CFRP option, and adding the diffuser and mirror caps for now.

What is everyone getting quoted on for M performance parts? The numbers I’ve gotten from dealer are all higher then what’s on the bmw website so just curious to see if there’s a markup or are they higher because they include “labor” since it’s port installed.

1. Rear Spoiler Pro- $1000 ($827 on bmw)
2. Cf Rear diffuser- $1315 ($1250 on bmw)
3. Cf Mirror Caps- $1155 ($1102 on bmw)
4. Cf front splitter $2920 ($2704 on bmw)

Thanks!

I can confirm I was quoted that exact price for the Carbon Pro Spoiler ($1,000 vs $827). I thought it was odd as well.

Ok thanks! Yeah I don’t know why there’s a price difference. Seems odd to me since it’s from the shopbmw website

My car has been sitting at the port since 4/1. Let's get it on a ship BMW!

I have been watching the port webcam daily and the lot is full!

Just FYI - the car is usually departed a couple of days before the systems refreshes and shows en route. I believe mine was on the water for two days before it refreshed.

Yeah I know there's about a 2 day lag, which is what I hoped, but I called the genius line yesterday and they said its still at the port and should ship out by the weekend.

Looks like our cars might be on the same ship since it shows my car is at the port now.

Brief update: Ship has been up and down the East coast, from Baltimore to Brunswick and currently in Jacksonville. Next stop is Charleston ETA May 1st.

And....I also added the M performance exhaust to my order!!! Read a few threads on the board, decided that it was worth it.

You won't be disappointed! I had the opportunity to hear the M Performance Exhaust in person last weekend when I signed my lease paperwork. The sound of a cold start is intoxicating.
