Very cool video. The m5 is so much stronger right out of the box; even moreso with some mods, of course. It's unfortunate the m5 sounds like a 335 unless you spend some cash on an exhaust/dps. Both great cars and happy to have owned both. Looking forward to seeing what the next gen of each can do!

The M5 seemed to have a whole other gear at the end of the rolling race. The Mercedes just seemed to bog down- I wonder if he took his foot off the pedal.

Guess it depends on who's driving and things of that nature. Here is a race I found with same mods between the two.

Can we take a second to appreciate that the driver of the M5C actually took the time to build boost on launch control, instead of most reviewers who go right after starting LC and saying it feels slow?

They passed a white car (parking on their left side).
I think that was the point to stop the test. After that the AMG lifted the pedal.
