No sound in Sport +?

Was moving my car into the garage last night and my son wanted to hear the pops (as with every time I start my car). I hit M2 (Sport + everything) started the car and moved it into the garage. When I revved it up, it sounded like it was in comfort mode, completely silent. Turn the car off and on and then all was fine.

Today I was driving in M2 with everything Sport + and exhaust valves open and the car was SILENT. Zero pops and bangs, couldn't even hear the engine. Almost seemed quieter than when all in Comfort. Pulled over, turned the car off and on and then all was fine again. Could this be something to do with the ASD messing up?

Happens to me to occasionally but just switching it back to comfort and then going back to m1/m2 fixes it for me

Did this start happening recently? Did you do the OBD fuel vent recall software update? I noticed after the recall on my car the pops and bangs are mostly the same as before but there would be periods of time in sport+ engine where there would be no burbles at all (just going around town not much throttle) but this would NEVER happen before the recall. Before the recall sport+ engine low RPMs around town the car would always be burbling away.

I have only had the car for 2 months now and I have not had it done (maybe it was done prior to me getting it?). But I have not had this happen the 2 months I've owned it until last night and today.

If the exhaust button is pressed off inadvertently, the car will become very quiet inside the cabin, even in Sports+. It will also remove the pops and bangs.

Also, when you start your car from cold, it usually takes a good minute or so before you will hear the pops and bangs in sports+

This, and it also might be because the pops turn off after 76km/h, it's normal

Yeah I was about to type this. If the engine is cold it won't pop and bang until about 3-5 minutes. Engine needs to warm up a bit.

On my pre-LCI the pops and bangs were out of control fun. I never had a chance to do the recall before I turned the car in for the LCI.

It is more difficult to get the LCI to act like a savage; there is just a very narrow spectrum of settings that sets of the pops and bangs. My wife and neighbors love it. I hate it.

Yeah, I get this too occasionally. It fixes itself after a locking/unlocking cycle

This +3.

The engine mode has a much smaller impact on actual exhaust noise vs. the exhaust button on the shifter console. Without that button on, there is very little extra fuel delivered into the exhaust for the pops and bangs.

Was your engine warm? Pops don't happen until you reach full operating temp.

No I get burbles right away after a cold start if I drive away in sport+ engine.

Yes apart from the upshift pop, you need to be in sport+ engine and exhaust button on to get burbles.
