Tracking my order
How do I track which vessel it’s on and the ETA? I have the production number and the vIN.
Thank you.

There are other ways if you have a dealer that is not as engaged. You can go to the thread that discusses the details of this subject and look for the list of carriers used. You can then go to the carrier websites and search the schedules for ships leaving the port around the time your vehicle gets to the port. There is one main carrier you are supposed to be able to enter your VIN on their website and the car will show to be on the ship. My car was on a different carrier line, but I was able to determine the ship my car was on and the schedule and even track the ship.

The web tracking does not show when on vessel. I recall it saying its at the port or the likes, until the journey is complete, then it progresses again.

Your CA will have that information for you. Depending on which carrier your vehicle is on, the tracking may differ. BMW seems to use Wallenius and Wilhelmsen, Kline and NYK.
Wallenius and Wilhelmsen offers detailed tracking info for their vessels. NYK is pretty basic just tells you an ETA from their main itinerary sheet. |
