Three things I love about the LCI:

1. Remote Start
2. Tail Lights
3. Larger center screen

I've taken care of the second two, but the first eludes me!

Weird. I had remote start on my 2018 and now on my 2021. However, truth be told, I bought every single available app in the BMW ConnectedDrive store and I'm pretty sure that remote services came with one of those apps.

I'll do this exact thing all the time and love when I can hear it from inside the store. I've missed it!

You had remote start or remote ventilation in your 2018? I have a fully loaded 2019 and it doesn't have remote start. In TX as well.

2018 M5? I'm pretty sure the LCI M5 is the first F90 to have remote start/climate ventilation capability.

Huh. I could have sworn that my 2018 had remote start but I suppose I'm mistaken. I thought that through the BMW app I could start it for the climate conditioning but I guess I was wrong on that. My bad.

I think that is just "preconditioning" i.e., fan only (pre-LCI) and not "ventilation" i.e., air conditioning (LCI).

Could be wrong on this, but my '19 base definitely didn't have it, and obviously my '22 Comp does.

Car sounds unbelievable, OP! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting this, OP: lovely acoustics, something that is indeed heartening, as I know too as a M5 daily driver, to hear that luscious bass note ahead of a commute home. It's interesting--and a bit consoling--to notice from your sound clip that even with our constrictive OPFs and nannyish EU noise regs over here, my cold start doesn't seem too muted at all in comparison (though admittedly it's a pre-LCI, which I'm doubly relieved to have). Anyway, nice vid!
