Where did the yellow angel eyes go?
I believe they're only yellow when the headlights are on. The DRL are still white.

And even then you don’t get the retro-French yellow LED strip lights (only when you have the headlights on though – for daylight running legislation insists they glow white).
You may have missed this part in the article.

Can't read, thanks.

That sucks big time. Ugh.

It's funny that the law (apparently) dictates what color the front DRLs must be - E6x/9x had yellow - but they don't say the rear lights must be on in DRL mode... which they should be on because people also drive behind cars, you know. Had that coded on my car immediately.

While I still don't get the point of this car, it will sell like hotcakes.

Pay more for an M5 to get less use out of it lol

To sum it all up, a bigger M3. Point is if you want to save money get a M3 xDrive and add all that bronze/gold bling at a custom auto shop.

Less use? Why? Just because it only has room for 4 people instead of 5?

In terms of performance it will be faster and more dynamic than the AMG GT 63 S.
Every CS model was so much more special than the Competition one 👍

So this is available in non-limited number to everyone in the world but the U.S. only gets about 400

It's very confusing how they keep wording everything. They have definitely said that it will be a one year model only (2022), but then they say that there is no cap to production. Then we hear that only 400ish are coming to the US.

If they are only making the car for 1 year then they will eventually have to cap production. With the semiconductor shortage I can't imagine how they would balance it all.

I really hope it's limited. With basically only two exterior colors, it will look like a taxi in large numbers (and no, I don't mean ring taxi).

My dealer were told they were getting only 2 allocations, and another dealer was told they were only getting 1. When does the model year production schedule start and end?

I feel like this is a 2022 model year, but actually only being built during the 2021 production schedule. The reason i say this, US dealers seem to know already how many allocations they are getting and that they are leaning toward the end of normal 2021 production schedule (ie july-september). EU cars are already being built, but when does this production year end?

Allocation distribution for the M5CS was a little bit different than how things normally go.

Typically, dealerships are provided with their next month's allocations around the 5th of each month. For the M5CS, all the dealerships were given their full allocations at once. The dealership that I use got 2 production slots. Their first allocation, which I took, is scheduled to start production in July and their second slot is scheduled for November.

I guess it is possible for BMW to have more allocations in early 2022, but I doubt it.

No, the front arm rest is closed and you'll need to find another space for your sunglasses.

And no cup holders, no folding down rear seats, no guided cruise control, and of course no Bowers & Wi. audio for fine listening. LOL.

Wait a sec, no cup holders up front? Really? How did I miss that one?!? Even my M3CS has front cup holders.

i built my own m5cs. i ordered an m5 comp with no options. only CCB's and forged wheels.

im not a fan of the pewter accents and the red calipers on CCB's is offputting bc all the fake 5 series M models have red calipers.

that fact alone made the ccb mandatory for me , i dislike the dilution of the M mark a lot
