Tire size
I see Steve Dinan M8 runs 295/30 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2.
Does anymore on this board run this size? Any feedback? |

Theoretically according to Michelin they will just barely fit the stock rims. I'm running those widths with 35 aspect ratio ps4s and the fronts rub near full lock. Shorter aspect ratio probably won't rub but I bet they look funny due to small rim width.

I’m currently running 285/30 front with 305/30 rear SC2 tires on 10” (ET23) and 11” (ET29) wheels. I’ve already bought 295/30 SC2 for the front as replacements. From what I could tell from measuring the current tire clearance in the front, the 295 should fit without rubbing at either full lock or full bump.
I remember seeing bcparker2's car in a photo and was amazed those tires worked for him, clearance wise. Looked great though. |

I'm running that size using the Dinan DC3 wheels. However, have switched to the PS4 all season tires for summer use. Have not experienced any rubbing and the extra rubber looks really good. Winter tires on the stock 706M wheels.

Running stock 789M with 305 rear and 285 up front
I find it hard to believe that 295's would allow for no rubbing even at full lock as I've experienced minor rubbing with the 285's (285s paired with KW and 15 MM spacer ) 305's are nice. Rubbing experienced as well (KW and 5 MM spacer) But when my wheels arrive in 2 weeks they will be mounted on 295's. New wheels are 21's

How much lower than stock is the car? This could affect rear rubbing but probably not the front if the front rubbing is on the front of the plastic wheel well liner.

I see the Dinan setup is lower, plus the bigger wheels. I would think they wouldn't sell a setup with this issue. I would be concern if it looked weird with the small profile on 20's

Looks good. No rubbing up front or just near full lock? I am tempted to go 295/305 but probably have a year left on my 275/285. I did change to 1/2” wider wheels this year and the stock width tires look slightly stretched.

Only at near full lock, never when driving (I drive the lunch group most days 4 250+ lb men). I will caution you though everything about my setup is stock the 9.5 inch wheels up front pull the sidewall in and consequently round the tire down more at the edge if your rims are wider it may not pull as much and you may rub more.
