I just went through this myself... Here's what I ordered:
Low-profile jack and 2 jack stands- https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben...11362sch01akt/ Jack pad adapter for a perfect fit on the factory jack pads- https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...pter/ecs10721/ If you utilize the front jack pads you should be alright. I don't have any pictures from using this setup but hopefully some others may be able to chime in.

That has always concerned me. I don’t like jacking up the car on any place beyond the main jacking point. So recently I have been considering RennStand. You might want to consider.

I've found, and posted multiple times, the QuickJack BL-6000XLT for the F90 M5. It's expensive, but so easy to use it makes working on the car a breeze. Safe, fast and secure, you may leave it suspended for months at a time if needed. Check out the lift at quick jack.com Aronis, I can't believe you haven't bought one yet! |

Yeah, if you don't do a lot of tinkering they aren't cost effective. I enjoy working on the car and for me they make sense. Nice for work underneath on either end of the car. For just occasional front end work some good ramps should be fine.....yours look questionable.

You made do with what you had on hand, commendable in itself. Good luck with the skid plate, I'll be doing that in the future too. Which one are you using, Fall Line or Turner?

Cool! The Turner piece looked to be a much easier install than Fall Line. I think both need some 1/4" mesh installed over the whole opening to avoid the odd nail ricocheting into the cooler. There was a thread on that a while back on the F90 forum, as well as the F10 forum. Guy lost his motor from a nail into the cooler.
Since the underneath is the outlet for the air flowing through the cooler, I don't think the slight extra restriction from the mesh will hurt airflow. |

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I've been searching through the forum with little luck. Other than buying a RennStand, is there a good spot to place a standard jack stand (when lifting the car with a floor jack using the jacking point)?
I'm not getting under the car, just have to take the wheels off (one by one) to add spacers. I know the floor jack will likely suffice for the amount of time the car is lifted, but I prefer to have a safety back up. |

Your ramps and blocks picture scared the living shit out of me.....trauma surgeon in me say's NO F'ING WAY MAN.
This is my solution after I lowered my RS6. Two planks screwed together (all screws going away from tires LOL). The boards lock in the ramps into position. No slippage. These are already low profile ramps as RS6 was already a lower car vs other vehicles I have owned. For example my M5 does not need the extra height. It allows entry for a lowered car, adds 1 1/2 inch of height. When I need more height I add another 2x10 under it, but that only was needed once. I am really considering getting a quick jack....close to doing it. Oil changes on the Porsche are going to be PAINFUL on rams. (2013 A8L 4.0 liter Twin Turbo next to 2003 RS6 4.2 liter Twin Turbo, gotta love the TURBOs LOL) Mike

Removing the rear left wheel? I'll do the opposite.

Quick Jack sizes are an issue. There is no solution for a short car and a long car accept to turn the jack sideways, which works......

When you reversed off/backwards, did the planks of wood, not shoot upwards, and smack the sills of the car ?.
