I thought I would post this as it may be useful to others In the same boat. I wanted to better the sound of the exhaust on my 21' M5C and wasn't keen on spending thousands on a brand new exhaust system. So I ordered MAD BMW F90 M5 F92 M8 S63R MIDPIPES instead.

I had them installed yesterday and there is a definite, much improved exhaust tone. It's louder slightly but there is a noticeable change to the tone, it's now much deeper and way more aggressive without being overly loud, lots of pops and bangs now too is sport plus. Also there is a noticeable improvement to the throttle response, seems to pick up much quicker and have more useable power lower down the rev range. I don't know whether it's my mind lying to me because of the new exhaust noise but it also feels faster as it moves through the gears.

Overall I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend as it's relatively inexpensive and not that hard to fit.

No issues with CEL either which is a plus!

This is a great mod, and it will add power and turbo spool up. You can go 9s 1/4 with secondary down pipes only and other supporting mods.

To be honest I'm not sure as I dropped it off at my trusted mechanic and then picked it up a few hours later. Didn't ask about the difficulty but I believe if you have access to a lift it's relatively easy as it's OEM fitment I believe.

It's a straightforward install; I doubt it took them longer than 1 hour on the lift to complete it

Thanks for feedback. I was going to buy cat back but for under 400 it seems like a perfect mod. Are you looking to do x pipe as well ?

I was going to but it kept getting pushed back and back for months so cancelled it. I'm happy with the sound now so glad I did. For the price it's a no brainer for someone looking for a better/more aggressive exhaust tone whilst not being obnoxious plus a slight improvement in performance!

If I knew how to post a video I'd post a start up and drive by video lol

They do not, only primary and secondary downpipes

CS I'm unsure but would think so, someone with more knowledge is better to answer though! Yes to your first question - these are secondary DP with no cat and no CEL

From what I understand, CS has same engine, turbos and downpipes as regular M5. Just some weight reduction parts and suspension tuning and slightly raised boost.

Got it. Guess this will be one of my first purchases, combined with the MPerf titanium exhaust. Should sound pretty nice.

OP purchased the secondary pipes from us. Replacing these pipes will not cause a check engine light.

MAD offers the primary pipes; you can get it directly from them; we do not offer catless downpipes.

Was anything else at all needed for the install? May order these from Mike this week, just want to make sure I get everything I need. I'll be installing them myself.
