Custom Shop wants 8.5 of labor for X-pipe and brake pad replacement
So one of my buddies has an M5 and he wanted to do a Dinan X-pipe and iSweep pads as I have on my car too, the local shop said it'll be 8.5 hours of labor and 2 days. LOL
I told him he was getting ripped off, the X-pipe should take no more than 2 hours, and the same with pads, total work should be 3-4 hours MAX. Am I wrong? I did my X-pipe in 3 hours without a lift, just a hand jack, ramps, and chain cutter, pads were 4 hours because I cleaned it and ceramic coated the calibers |

place that did my x pipe (which wasn't the Dinan and they had to make some custom bends) took about 1.5-2 IIRC. 8.5 seems a bit excessive for those items.

About half the 8.5 hours seems more reasonable to me. But people with expensive cars who don’t know much about them get taken advantage of all the time, unfortunately.
