Bucket list car Purchased 19 M5 Competition

Hi Everyone,

Finally pulled the trigger and picked up a new to me 2019 M5 Competition. All I can say is wow! I'm so pumped and excited. This car is far more than I expected in so many ways.

I have always been a BMW M5 fan from afar and a closet car guy lol. My business, family and finances have always came first and now that's all taken care of I can splurge on myself. Man it feels great!

So far in two days everyone is trying to race me.. Hellcats, Jeep SRT, Nissan GTR, Mustang Shelbys...of course I'm oblivious since I am not used to the attention. Im coming from a Ram Limited pickup truck lol.

Only disappointment is the Harmon Kardon sound system. The sound system is awful! WTF I guess I have to dig around the forum for reasonable upgrades to the system. But who needs a sounds system anyway, just put it in Sport mode and listen to the glorious engine and exhaust note.

Also looking for a winter tires. Michelin Alpines on my stock 20" wheels?

JTwinx welcome to the M5 brotherhood. You have a very nice car. I hope the car is everything you envisioned.

Awesome purchase. Congratulations. I agree with you on the HK base sound system. It truly is awful but you'll get used to the mediocrity because the rest of the car is awesome.

Congratulations!!

I ordered the new Pirelli PZero Snows for my stock wheels. I will report back once I've driven on them but that may be too late for your decision making timing.

I agree the M5C is an incredible car. My X3MC had a dogshit sound system so I'm hoping the M5 you have is at a minimum much better than that. I am fortunate to have the B & W in my M5C. I am far from an audiophile but to my ears it sounds phenomenal and the look alone would have sold me to be frank.

Congrats. I also recently got a new to me M5 and love it. This forum in particular is also very helpful and polite most of the time, compared to some other forums I've been in.

True, but there are some times in traffic I just want to jam to some good music and its such a big let down.

My tire guy, in full disclosure is my cousin, was telling me about the Vredestien Winter Trac Pros. Supposed to be a great tire by a great company I never heard of, I guess there over 100 years old, just not popular in the US. Reviews online look great though.

Debating beteween the Vredestien and the Michellin Alpine 4s....

Bavsound makes pretty damn good underseat subwoofers that are plug n play.

I have had Michelin Alpine tired on prior cars and was very happy. I too have heard Vredestein makes a great tire by a trusted shop. My gut feeling is for any reasonable purposes any of the above will perform adequately.
