Those guys may be hanging out on the Cadillac forum. You will probably get better information there.

Would love to own a Blackwing. Reminds me of the e90. But I don’t have garage space. So it’s either the CS or the Blackwing. For me, the CS would be more special.

Let's be honest. Any serious person in the market for a daily driver would not pick the Blackwing unless they are trying to save money or are getting a steep discount. If they are trying to say that the Blackwing is the better value, I can understand that argument. Only people who read automotive magazines and lust over these cars without an intention of ever buying one would say they would pick the Blackwing - but at the end of the day where the money is spent and sales figures speak for themselves.

Keep in mind that M5 buyers are not your average joe customers who are buying a 530i. The M5 buyer is typically an enthusiast who does a lot of research and cross shops cars before spending $100k+.

The people who typically post in this thread and are saying they would pick the Cadillac don't own an M5 - otherwise they would have saved money and (in their opinion) bought the better car.

I considered the Blackwing if nothing else than for the mag ride but I wasn't going to pay the 40k+ ADM for it.

I'm grateful that my budget even left what I was able to consider on the table, including the 991.2 911 Turbo S, loaded RS7, M5C, E63, Plaid, etc. I needed four doors and AWD and as my only car I'm still stuck on the sound of an ICE, and so here we are. I would have compared the Blackwing, felt like I was sitting in a GM parts bin and yet still paying 6 figures, and left it on the lot. I'd break my four door rule and buy a new C8 Z07 before I'd touch the Blackwing.

More power to you if that's what you end up going with...but if you've got the means to really choose what you like as your only daily (and not just another member in the stable, which is a totally different buying situation), you're just not going to pick the Caddy. No matter how many reviewers get paid to say otherwise.

I ordered the CS after I missed out on the first 250 Blackwing, my real issue is the quality, the 6 Spd manual a plus, I could get both but only want one, my other option is buy the CS and buy the last edition Camaro later

You know what else is sad, and mildly disturbing? you constantly seeking out my posts. Daddy isn't interested in Cadillac, CS on the way.

Having owned a GM product before, it's not so bad. Get off your high horses.

I can afford either one and have an order in for both. The CT5 Blackwing is a marvel of American engineering and it should be respected as such, interior notwithstanding.

Whichever car makes it to the dealer first will be in my garage. The M5 went into production earlier this week and I still don’t have an allocation for the BW after 7 months. They both have their advantages and we should just be happy we have these choices and not driving around in 140hp Impalas and K-cars like I had growing up.

American cars are fun, but the interiors are cheesy. Even on the expensive ones. Caddy's a beast, but the interior is just not for me. American cars are fun, I started with a Mercury, I'll never trade that experience for anything.

Still have a 13 GT500 sub 20k miles, I like the clunky manual, and the fact that it's just a brute to drive, solid rear axle sucks, and even with MPSS wheelspins in 3rd, but the new ones with flappy paddles and pricing nearing 100k, just doesn't make sense to me when I can spend that on a German car.

I was super interested in the new Z06, but this was based on the fact it might look more like the c8R, alas, still ugly AF imo. Sounds beautiful though!

Germans just do it better, albeit not for the best b4yb all the time, but good for you if you have the money to own all of them at the same time! I don't, but I'm OK with an M5.

what are you showing me? the f90 is great from a 60, the z06 is not.. An auto C7Z from 40-45 will slap an M5.

The F90 is poor from a 40-45. If anyone who has ever roll raced with it would know..

Yeah but the C7Z has like 700 lbs on the M5 with more HP/TQ from the factory. One would expect it to pull on the M5 at any speed especially with the weight penalty. Plus the M5 was completely stock versus a modded C7Z.
