You can order it as an individual color..not sure if it is just $5K, or still $10k like it was for the F10

When I ordered my car back in November, I was going to go with the Pure Metal Silver paint. I had a written quote of $5000 for that individual paint. I think it's less now (compared to $10k from the F10 era) since it's an existing paint that is already part of the individual family of paints. I'm sure the F10 M5 Pure Metal Edition more than subsidized for the initial cost of making the Pure Metal Silver paint.

One thing to note in my research for individual paint is that the car is actually taken out of the assembly line and hand sprayed as opposed to machine spray. This is why it adds more time to the production as the car is pulled out of the line and reinstated later on. I read on another thread regarding issues with individual paint since it is hand sprayed. Not to scare any one off, but found it to be informative considering the extra $$$ one pays for the individual paint.

Thanks for all the info.

The thread was interesting. "In my 20 years, I have never heard of anything like that."
