2. Capristo (Expensive)
3. Dinan (Just came out and on back order)
4. Eisenmann Race or Performance (Too loud?)
5. RPI

Just curious to know if anyone has heard Dinan in person just yet or even has it installed on F90? And any real life comparison?

Thanks

Love the sound of this exhaust. Its on my list as well, hopefully for order by Spring.

Exactly

this is thread is funny--- Soooma you pick the one you have never heard LOL and for some reason I am not shocked at all.

"Just curious to know if anyone has heard Dinan in person just yet or even has it installed on F90? And any real life comparison?" Soooma 2019

But thankfully after 35 threads we will get to see you with the Dinan only to post a thread two days later that you are not happy and need input

Hahhahahahahahah- a little tongue in cheek sir.
That's poignantly funny
So how many times did you wake up last night in cold sweats. .

I think you will love the exhaust. Was part of my choices initially but was missing a little something for me personally so I went with something different. Can't wait to hear your thoughts and see some videos.

Rule of thumb is, you can't do that to soooma He may die LOL out of curiosity!

A. What's it missing?
B. What's the "something different"
C. Did it have X pipe then?

Thanks

Not missing per say. I just have a taste for a particular sound at high RPM. It's hard to explain and very personal so it would most likely have no impact on your thought process. No x pipes.

Not my intent but preference is subjective. I could go on and on about why I like a particular exhaust and you might not even hear what I'm hearing. . Dinan was in my top 3. I'm sure you will be happy with it.

Post videos!

Here you are guys, First Dinan Exhaust installed on the forum here , despite all detractors I would say it did deliver and some!

Videos to follow shortly
Initial impression
- It did change depth and character of NOISE way more than loudness
- Slightly louder
- More pops, burbles and crackles maybe 20-30% more and those are somewhat louder too
- From the DUMB? cabin, forget it guys unless you take out the whole exhaust this thing won't let you enjoy your exhaust from the inside, it's a very tantalizing elusive target to chase
- The Tips are drop dead gorgeous, in my opinion in the league of Akra tips and I didn't expect that!! They are a bit bigger too, and of course better than any other tips I have seen online for that matter, remember it matters because cosmetically that's all you see!
- At WOT didn't feel much difference yet, and shop said it gets louder with time!

Overall
I hate to disappoint some wanna be gloaters here LOL and Remus, Eaisenmann and Akra fanboys

I love this exhaust from Dinan very high quality and worth every penny, but if LOUDER you seek, this might not be for you!

BTW I am not a big fan of Dinan and had bad experience before with Stage II, when it wasn't installed correctly and they apologized appropriately for it but I was very offended and upset then and wasn't easy to appease, and that's my first repurchase from them since! And it made me forgive them,

Pictures of OEM Exhaust and tips are included after removal,

And NO My Dinan exhaust will stay on the car and not for sale

My 2 cents
Again videos to follow!
Does anybody know how to censor plates in videos? What app?

Kudos go to AquilaBMW who sold me this unit when it was very hard to find, I trust him so much and straightforward type of guy! Thanks Mike! A huge shout out to you Mike because you were one of the main reasons I decided to go down that Dinan route again

Thanks

Glad you gave us another shot. We do appreciate that. I think you will enjoy it more and more with time along with some of the other offerings we have in the pipeline if you wanted to double down on Dinan. =)

Couple notes ---

It does get louder over time after the bags are popped and all of that. Of course you can just drive it aggressively for a half hour or whatever and get to that part a bit faster. That said if you want a super aggressive/loud exhaust the Dinan solution probably isn't for you as it is still more about tone as you alluded to. Still want to keep it civilized--- just borderline civilized--- perhaps slightly over that line. To my ear its plenty loud but I am getting old. I appreciate tone and ride quality more and more as I advance in years.

Tips. The 4" tips are massive and those same tips are utilized on the the M2C which makes them look even that much more massive on that smaller platform. I will forever be a thin wall tip preference like the old Dinan tips BUT I will say that the bolt on double walled ones are very nice and still maintain some of that old Dinan look with the straight cut and a long bevel to try and emulate a bit of the thin wall.

Anyhoo -- welcome back to team Blue!

In the same BLUE vein, does it really add 8 ponies? Was this corroborated and how? Just being freer flow!?
