Export to USA
Anyone know if there is anything special needed to send a car to the states from Canada??
What would a black on black fully loaded minus carbon brakes 2021 comp be worth in the states? |

This isn’t helpful at all, but I know when I was looking at exporting one of my cars overseas, I would have had to pay some insane tax on what the car is valued at, so financially it made no sense. I doubt it’s the same coming from Canada to the US but someone here has surely done it.

I'm interested in knowing the answer to this. Lots of people migrate from Canada to the USA and vice versa. What happens with their cars?

I lived in Canada for a year back in the early 90s. I was still in high school so I don't remember all of the details. We had bought a Jeep in Canada and did bring it back with us.
I think back then all we had to do was get the odometer converted from km to miles. With everything being digital these days I'm guessing that isn't even a problem anymore.

Have a look at Border Buddy Customs Broker. I believe you will be able to get some good information from the site.

Because it's so new, you'll have to obtain a CoC (Certificate of Conformity) from BMWNA after the required modifications are made. Unless you're relocating to the US, I don't see that happening. |
