New Wheels! Rex Racing -102 Evo

Thank you dcohen13 for putting me onto these wheels. I copied your spoke design.

John from Rex Racing is a stand up guy and these wheels are awesome. My family’s shop is now a dealer for Rex Racing so if you guys need the hookup just let me know. The shop is C&C Automotive in New Rochelle, NY. Stop by anytime.

Here are a few quick pics. Car is dirty. Wheels and tires are dirty. Proper photos coming soon once I get it cleaned up.

Rex Racing Forged R-102 Evo with custom spoke design by dcohen13

I went with an aggressive offset and the fitment is spot on damn perfect. Best part about this brand is you can fully customize the wheel from offset to width and design.

Here are my specs:

Front 20x10 ET14
Rear 20x11 ET24
Motorsport Knurling

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
295/35/20
285/35/20

Better pics to come..

I didn’t weight them but I believe someone else did and reported 23lbs for the 20x11. I’ll have to double check that.

The guys who installed mine asked if there were actually wheels in the box. But alas I didn't get a weight either.

There’s just something off about these wheels. Every time I see them they just, meh. Maybe it’s the matte paint or how thick they are. I want to like them as I do like that style. Do the oem center caps not fit?

They do not, but I happen to manage a machine shop so I'm gonna have one of my guys make a piece to adapt them.

I believe around $3,000 depending on your specs and details. New brand evolved into Forged Club, if you are interested, I can get you a discount. www.forgedclub.com

I have a set of Rex forged

Mixed feelings to be sure. The design is great and the offset is a great fit for the m5. I have 20x10.5/11.5 wheels.

That said, I paid extra for a silver finish and it’s pretty poorly done. It’s very thin, and two of the wheels developed chipping almost immediately.

Essentially, it appears that I paid extra for a cheap thin powder coat over the usual black finish. At some point I’m going to get them refinished locally.

Pretty disappointed to have this happen, and the insult to injury is paying extra for it.

And reached out to John, with no reply. Live and learn, I’d suggest caution on anything other than the standard black finish.

Sorry to hear about your wheels. I will reach out to John on your behalf. I’m pretty sure he will make things right.

By the way I would love to see them in silver. If you don’t mind, post a pic.

You should check your email because I just spoke to John and he showed me his reply to your initial email. He offered to cover the cost of refinishing. I think that’s a stand up thing to do. I didn’t expect anything less. Maybe you missed the email. 😉

Maybe remove the pic as it has his name and info in it and may not want it out there. Also prob tell him to watch out sharing customer info with people even friends.. I think this type of thing is exactly what I wouldn’t want to see online from a place I purchased from.

Thanks, my mistake for not seeing the reply somehow but definitely agree on the public posting of my email address. Thanks
