Open Road BMW in NJ is pretty aggressive on pricing.

Considering M5 Competition in So. Florida. Haven't gotten any quotes yet but want to understand what to expect. Is it reasonable to expect 8-10% off MSRP for the Comp package, and second question I would consider both leasing or buying - any reason a dealer would take more off MSRP for either scenario? Thx

Discount will depend on each specific dealer; check dealers outside of South Florida if you want more aggressive pricing. Discount is not dependent on leasing or buying so go with whatever works for you. I lease but others buy ... do a search on here and you can see both sides.

I received 3% off MSRP (19' M5 Comp) but I spec'd the car and it was the first delivered at Braman in Miami and one of the 1st in the US (Sept 18'). I was lazy and could have probably done better if I would have spent more time reaching out to other dealers.

Thanks for the feedback. I was looking at some in stock at that same store - will check around some.

Braman was ready to do a 8% off MSRP over the phone with the sales manager on an inventory car.

Current MF is .00177. Tell the stealer .00177 or walk away.
You are paying over 100k for a car bro and not 10k.

I got a 10% discount on a $129.6k M5 Comp which I picked up yesterday. There was another car that I was considering where I managed to negotiate a 10.5% discount but it wasn't equipped the way I wanted a DG/Aragon with CCB. There are definitely deals to be had.

Thanks Calimarc. I am . The 10.5% discount was a dealer in New York. I got quotes from dealers in NY, NJ and CT. The NY and NJ dealers were the most aggressive. CT not so much... or at least not the dealers in Fairfield county.

I have a car on order at the moment with agreed upon 10% discount / base MF. After I got my production number I believe the same CA your referring to was trying to get in my ear while knowing I had 10% in the bag!

I was at BMW Delray Beach checking out an Alpine white M5C with carbon front diffuser. MSRP 127k. Guy would not budge off MSRP. Even my old dealer in MN is talking 10-12% off MSRP.. the guy in Delray is like “well not in S. Florida”... ok then I’ll get mine somewhere else then!

Waiting for him to call me back this week..........

i tried to work a deal in delray as well, didn't happen. YThey wouldn't discount much.

You have the right mindset, shop elsewhere. My last 2 cars, out of state, my fathers f90 out of state. South florida blows.
