Picked up my new M5 Comp here in the UK.
Car had list price of £99,610 but was discounted down to just of £81,180. The car was already built and in BMW UK stock but almost the exact spec I was looking for. |

I wonder how much discount, if any, South Florida Dealers are giving now, nine months after Comp release, its been six months since my purchase(2k off) 123k MSRP (Braman Miami)Which was decent at the time, and they gave me good money for my trade, The big discounting dealers nationwide would have offered me nothing for my trade plus the time/money spent traveling also offsetting some of the discount.I honestly believe they would have let me walk if I demanded more discount as this was the only Comp they had in stock that day and surely someone would have walked in and bought it. Another theory I have is that since this was my first BMW and I did not have a purchase history with any local BMW dealer that hurt my chances of any deep discount which probably apply to loyal customers. :/ But the ride home that evening in a brand new M5C at any price was priceless

I received $2K off the car ($125K MSRP) and knew it would be minimal when I ordered the car as it was "the latest and greatest" and was advised of this when I placed the order. I've received better discounts from them on some of the other M5's I've ordered from them; much better discount on 15' M5 than 13' M5. Probably could have found a better deal had I spent a ton of time negotiating with other dealers; unfortunately time's something I don't have a lot of and more valuable to me than a couple hundred bucks a month tbh.

I got $11,218 off $124K M5C, with .00177 MF (base at the time I closed the deal a few months ago) and got the dealership to take my 2016 M5C lease a month early and make the final $1400 payment. I paid to have the cars shipped back and forth from Dallas to dealership in IL but still ended up with a nice deal. Just keep working dealerships outside your area and don't hesitate to ask them to include price of shipping car for you.

I was just offered an M5C ($125+ sticker) at $120K. I've asked them to sharpen their pencil. Stay tuned.

They took another $4k off. I'll close the deal tomorrow.

Just speculation, but at this point, I suspect that there is no difference in discount because most cars in inventory are competition models. Few dealers, at least that I can see in South Florida, are ordering base M5's for inventory. Almost every M5 on the ground is a competition model. When I was shopping, the discount was the same as long as I was looking at an in-stock model and I was focused only on M5 competition models.

I got 10% off on a custom spec'd order. PM me if you want the CA. I went out of state and will pay for a Courtesy Delivery at a dealership close to where I live.
