Has anyone heard anything on the US releases?
Production was completed week 2. So it looks like there is/was a 2 week hold for initial production models considering the average 1.5 month shipping time from Germany to Canada.

I hope so but doubt this is true.... international release for all M5s is March 31st
And that comes direct from the CEO of BMW NA.

Hope you can prove me wrong as my car has been stuck at the port since 02/15

Unless there was an error made, car was loaded on to truck for delivery. But with that said, does not necessarily mean that the car can be delivered as soon as PDI is finished. G30 and G01 arrived a week early and we had to wait before we could deliver them to clients. In the event that the car does not arrive today, car was definitely picked up from port in Halifax so at least they're being released to trucking/logistics companies.

Well definitely take initial pictures if/when the truck arrives.

Unfortunately the M5 that was scheduled to be delivered did not arrive. It was definitely loaded on to a truck but just didn't make it to delivery. Will see if an update can be provided tomorrow.

Update:

Car is currently in Quebec, en route to Toronto so should arrive in Ontario today and should be delivered to dealership some time next week.

My F90 is scheduled to arrive at Galveston on 3/12. Hopefully just in time to avoid all this hold at port crap (outside of normal processing).

Mine has been sitting at the Baltimore port since 2/7.

Hopefully we will get it released so those coming to port soon will not experience this madness.

Keep drinking...it'll come one day.

Talk to Military Car sale Director in Germany, and he said Official release date for North America is 23 March. He said dealer will get around 2nd week in March, prepare the cars and release to customers on or about 23 March?
I'm in South Korea and first M5 arrive mid April. So 23 March sounds good to me. We have waited this long what is 2-3 more weeks. It's not like you see others driving around. Good things come to those who wait...like Competition Package. Model 2019 in 6 months

How certain are they on 3/12? I heard 3/23 also.

Where is your dealer located?

From my experience with the same issue with my E63s the dealers do not know release dates. My dealer is telling me 03/14 but BMW NA CEO and marketing president say 03/31.
My car is through the VPC and just waiting to be released for shipping once the hold is removed

Same deal for me. My car has been sitting in the port since 2/3. There was a fuel line recall they fixed. I am through VPC, just waiting. I was told first or second week of March but who knows.
