The F10 is totally different than the F90.

Also curious if anyone else has hard-wired into their F90? G30 people were having lots of issues wiring into the rear view mirror....apparently the wires there gave constant power (even when the car is off).

Traditional hardwire is identical on the F10 and F90. Mirrortap may be totally different. OP did not specify.

Had my K40 moved over from the F10 to the F90. Haven't seen it yet. Had to mount leds in dash rather than behind blinker indicators due to digital dash. Power tap in the passenger A pillar like F10.

Here is an amazing resource for radar/laser: https://www.rdforum.org/index.php

Or, if you are interested in watching reviews (and also learning), go here: https://www.youtube.com/user/TravelCam1111

Vortex is AWESOME. He can provide you with a TON of information and is very helpful, along with being a very active member on rdforum.

Good afternoon. Im actually just now getting a new jammer installed.

I went with Al Priority as I was reading the new Escort 360 was having trouble jamming the new Dragon Eye laser in addition to hearing those complain about it in those particular forums.

These details matter as the costs of these systems continually seem to include less hardware for your money and increase in cost.

I've always run the Passport Escort 9500ci and have been happy with it, finding that it saved me about 75-85% of the time. The other times I had trouble were with instant on radar. The cost on these though is worth it the first time you see a confused cop checking his laser gun wondering what the hell is wrong with it as you drive by. My biggest hurdle is keeping the fucking smile off my face doing it. Its a dead giveaway!

Anyhow here is a pic. This pic was the first I saw of the front jammers and it took me a minute to find the third one. I have mixed feelings on its placement, but have confirmed its the needed placement recommended for this car by the manufacturer. My cost on this was about $2700 and the system has everything obviously I had before with the 9500ci such as the gps enabled radar to lockout false signals, laser defense etc. I've had one also on my E60 M5 from 2006 and they hadn't changed much which caused me to see what else is out there.

The company that did it is D2 Industries in the north Chicago suburbs.

Here is a link to a 22 minute video about the best or better jammers available.

This one is specific one minute video about the AL Priority
Nice choice with the ALP, bulletproof setup for laser. That the 2 regular + tx?
Are the front heads protruding out enough? I know they say to have them out just past the grille.

What are you running for radar?

Thanks! Correct for the front. Rear has two jammers also.

The manufacturer stated that as long as the tx sticks out, the other two can be flush mounted vertically. I was surprised by this as well as I had read otherwise. He stated that the newer kits have hardware to allow this to be their optimal setup.

Its the net radar with gps. Im reading up on it still on how to best prevent false alerts. Getting this sucker to lockout all the false alerts in Chicago is not going to be fun. Thatd be my biggest concern at this point.

I decided to go commando with no front plate here despite it being required which would have allowed the tx jammer to sit centered on the plate.

Ill jump back in and post if I end up not liking the system.

Yeah the knock on the NetRadar is the false alerts. They are working on a new firmware to fix it (if they haven’t already).

I plan on using the Valentine One Savvy module that plugs into the diagnostic port. It works great and reads car speed data to AUTO mute the radar detector at a set speed. The diagnostic port does switch off when the car is off.

Update: The laser detector in my V1 gets tripped by bright sun and also by reflected light from car's displays as per Valentine help line. When in bright sun light the thing triggers laser very frequently. I think there must be some coating in the windshield or something. Valentines work around is to deactivate the laser detector. Not a great option, but I never see laser's being used in my area.

Also I cannot use the SAVVY adapter to power it since anything plugged in to the diagnostic port triggers the car alarm. This was an up date to BMW car alarms I guess in response to car's being stolen by cloning keys via diagnostic port. So I will be doing the 'search' for switched plus 12 and running a wire. Not yet ready to start taking the car apart to tap into something in the over head control unit.

No way would I mess with any part of the alarm!

LOL

I found out that the cigarette lighter does shut off after a few minutes so I am good with my current setup.

At first I thought oh no the cigarette lighter is not switched, this is going to be a problem for the radar detector. Locked the car, still on.

So I came back a little later and it had switched off. Delayed shut off is odd.
