Default Radio Setting

Hi, I know I should have RTFM first, so I'm sorry if it's in there and I didn't see it (I have read it extensively, btw).

Every time I turn on my radio, it defaults to the Sirius/XM satellite list, not my Presets. I'd prefer it to default to presets each time I turn on the radio.

My wife's 430i does default to preset channel list, but I can't figure out what setting makes this change in my M5.

I've tried to figure this out also. Kind of annoying.

I think its a bug. Sometimes mine does go to presets. All other times is goes to the last station's category. So if I'm listening to a FM station before the shut off the engine, it goes to the FM tuner the next time. If XM, then it shows the XM stations. It is annoying.

+1! Completely random. I pretty much always shut it off in Presets, but on start-up sometimes it's still on Presets and sometime on Sirius. If I shut it off on Media it seems to always start back up on Media. I called my CA about it and he was surprised as well, said it's supposed to come back up in the same mode as shut down.

Im always in presets no matter what... maybe try this:

Use the I Drive control and go to audio and from that area select presets... then verify it via the mode switch on the steering wheel.
