Got the valuation from Arnold Clark who have offered Cap Clean for the car.

Sold my last 2 cars to them instead of trade in.

Yes may be give it a year or so and pick one up for half the price of a new one, that'll be my strategy

Had it valued again at a second dealer and £54k was offered.

Seems to be about the average drop for such a short time owned

Are you genuinely trying to get rid of just making yourself depressed? I have budgeted £10k a year loss on mine so will keep it until it is down to £10k a year depreciation on average..... which might take a while!

I was interested to see what it was worth.

Not depressing at all to me I knew it would be worth 36k after 4 years so knew it wasn't going to hold value well.

Also being honest its worth the depreciation.

£68k. So after 4 years it is worth £35k which is £33k loss or just over £8k a year. I doubt it will be much less than £10k a year before then....perhaps £38k at 3 years might be possible but £48k at 2 years wont be....based on current price!
