Has anyone had any issues with resetting the car's computer after your 1200 mile break-in? Mine has been sitting at the dealer for two days now because they can't successfully reset the 1200 mile break-in counter. They are telling me they need to call BMW for assistance.

And these guys are certified professionals? It can be done either manually or via a coding tool. Hang in there, I’m sure they’ll figure it sooner than later.

is this a problem for me because when i bought the car used with 500 miles they already did the break in way to early

I never quite comprehended the break in period. Doesn’t each car get tested to the max by professional drivers on the track or a blocked off test road before they leave the factory for their final destination to make sure there is nothing significantly wrong with the car?

If you guys didn't you should read the thread from the beginning. After my original post / query, I was informed about the 1,200 mile break-in service, etc. I recommend you follow the guidelines best you can....
