Misfires are caused by either bad spark plug / ignition coil / injector, bad fuel or bad fuel pumps not delivering enough fuel.

If you are getting a misfire with increased boost it means something is bad with the car of fuel ... Next time it happens let us know which code you got

Open the jb+ and turn the dial down to halfway.

Test, turn it up a lil, test, turn it up a lil, etc...
It comes delivered at 100%, you need to let your car warm up to it.

What does warm up to it mean specifically? Are you asserting that somehow fuel trims have not adapted, leading to misfire?

It takes some time for the ECU to adapt.

So, has your CEL gone away, after the ECU has adapted?

Anyone else have experience with this product? I want to pull the trigger....

I always recommend JB4 with downpipes. It offer power and takes full advantage of the downpipe.

But if you want to use JB+, we also offer the VRSF CEL delete to hide the code.

If you're going to run 93 maybe with some E85 mix is this JB+ as good as a JB4 on map 1/2 performance wise?

Hey Mike

Yeah I think I'm just put off by the jb4 install. Looks like a bit of a pain.

No ... Jb+ is meant for stock cars

If you would like to use E85 or downpipes, get the JB4

Its not that hard .. .Takes 45 minutes, if you are not comfortable doing it just pay a mechanic $100 to do it

For the price, it's a hell of a lot of bang for the buck for a stock vehicle. I've done some mods, so I think I'm either going to have to upgrade to JB4 or Dinan to fully take advantage of them.

I don't believe I have seen a dyno for the M2 yet ... But JB+ adds anywhere up to 4 psi

So if you get just the jb+ , are you saying you should expect CEL? I'm interested in buying but wondering why suggest the Downpipe for CEL delete if this is cool with just a stock car.
