Actually, you're wrong - I am Asian myself and couldn't care less about saying things like riceboy.

But regardless, me associating something with a particular style (in this case, riceboy style) - is that wrong? The bulk of today's people associate things with one thing or another and like CMD mentioned already, 'riceboy' has its disputable origins. Even so, a lot of my friends used to "rice" their rides out and long after they got tired of the trend, they're not stupid/ashamed enough today to deny that what they did in the past was "rice". In fact, they willingly admit their brash "rice" days. We can argue all day about the term and for that, I regret mentioning it in the first place. Perhaps I should have said, "that trend is quite popular among Japanese imports, not BMWs".

It's not show much that I'm offended by the comments but I guess I wouldn't expect to hear that crap here on this forum. I guess it only reinforces that the car never makes the person and you are still you. I forget that there are younger people here who may not even think twice about it. I can laugh at jokes about Asians and heard most of them but when does it end? Pretty soon your kids hear from you or at school and the cycle continues. But hey to each their own. After a while the shit gets old and so do you.

when people say "rice" they are referring to the asian car, not the asian driver, i thought. a "rice rocket" is an aesthetically challenged japanese car, aint it? and people who driver rice rockets are riceboys, regardless of their ethnicity. in the DC metro area, I'd say ricerockets are driven predominately by hispanics.
