Evolution Racewerk Downpipes: Thoughts?
There are a lot of downpipes out there (some are crazy expensive, FABSpeed, Keller)
I found these https://x-ph.com/evolution-racewerks-f90-m5-downpipes/ Which are pretty reasonably priced for both primary and secondary? Can anyone comment? Are there really any power differences from say these evolutions racewerk downpipes and the Keller's? Why such a difference in price ? I can't imagine one is that much better than the other ? |

Mainly is the fitment and workmanship.
I do carry both Keller Performance and Evolution Racewerks.

I did exactly what I said I wouldn't do on this car...install catless dps. Scooped up some never installed evolution racewerks catless primaries from a member here. Just had them installed this week. My guy said fitment was great.
My goals in doing this were gain some sound and maybe some power eventually, but with no gas smell. So left the secondaries in place. The turbo sounds are much more pronounced, in a big way. The remus tone is still there. Louder? Yes, but not in a bad way. And with all of the buttons you can push in this car, I can still get the volume under control and kill the pops and bangs. Tied my record yesterday for highest 1/4 mile trap with a 1psi lower boost target. Didnt hit target past 4th gear, but that's not atypical for me. Dps played a role I'm sure, but how much, not sure. I spoke with the folks at evolution and they said largest gains were from primaries, which makes sense...maybe try that first? |
