BMW Connected

In an effort to get my Remote 3D view working, I followed some tips to reset the password, reset the head-unit in the car and re-download the apps--> job done.

When I turned the car on this morning, it tells me the "Data" for BM Connected Drive is incorrect--I assume it means the password (so why not say that). It offers a "Reset password" or "Enter the data", I tried the latter--> failed; tried again later --> failed. Tried again just now -- failed.

FFS BMW, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Anyone know how to successfully re-enter the password in the car?

I had a “genius” from my dealer try on Saturday to no avail. He blamed it on the server. He said it has been a problem for three months. Not sure what to believe.

At least the feature is enabled where you live. Here it says it's disabled due to the current or neighbouring country not allowing the feature. Good 'ole EU privacy regulations.

Had the same problem with my 2020 M5 and was all sorted when they carried out a software update.

Have you tried reseting your password here?

Mine was screwy on me a couple of months ago, and what I found was that doing anything from the app on your phone is useless. I was able to get it sorted out by using the website, re-entering my new password on the app, and all was well

I had issues with mine when I took delivery. What was recommended by the genius was to delete my profile in the car, reset the iDirive, then sign back in. It has worked fine since.

The remote view works for me intermittently. When it does work, loading times are very slow. I agree that BMW needs to do a better job on their end...a pretty pathetic effort so far.

Same here. I tried everything. Resetting password, deleting and reinstalling the app, etc. Spent way too much time on the phone with the geniuses which was a waste of time. Ultimately, it was fixed by dealer software update.
