Air filter at 16k miles

BMW refused to change air filter at 16k, they said wait for next oil change that would be another 8k miles.

Did it myself.

Why is there oil on the air filters?

#your PCV valve could be blocked also.
#worn piston rings.
# clogged oil passages due to dirty oil.when was the oil changed and is the correct amount in it ( Not over filled)

just a few things to check.

is the car tuned
