Tips arrived today, Not even close to fitting as intended with supplied clamp. The diameter of stock exhaust end is too big, Welding them on makes sense anyway, can you imagine having them stolen.

Thanks! So the tip size remains the same as that on the F80 M3. No M Performance exhaust tip has ever been designed to fit, no difference here. This is the first time you can't cut the outlets of the exhaust either as they are wider than any of of the inlets in these tips. Thanks for sharing.

Probably same part number as F80 Tip. I'm gonna have these installed one way or another.

how wide is the diameter of the comp pipe exactly? what minimum size diameter is needed to have a clamp on tip inserted?

Wow, nice bud. Can you tell us how you got them to stay? Did you position the tips how you want them and weld them in place? Post more pics from different angles.

Thanks, I'm real happy, Changes the car's personality. The installers were meticulous in the alignment, of course I was helping them
The supplied clamp is used to keep it in place but a few spot welds were added for security.

Just reviving this thread in case anyone is interested - there are now eBay listings for M Performance style tips that fit over the standard F90 exhaust diameter out of the box. Just put a set on mine and am pleasantly surprised by the outcome!

I wish they sold the actual M Performance exhaust here in the UK, but these will do for now.

That's the one I got. One thing to note: you do have to grind off the exhaust pin to fit the tips. The listing says it's optional but it's not, the grub screw does not fully hit the exhaust with the pins in place.
