Has anyone painted their F90 Competition rims- gloss black?

I bought my M5 F90 Comp. with these rims (painted them black gloss) ->

I'm thinking of buying the original Comp. Rims and wondering how would they look gloss black.

I had mine powder coated. The dealer had them sent off & reinstalled in 3 days.

I thought it was worth it.

Beautiful! Do you have spacers on? your wheels look pretty flush to the fenders from this angle.

So I'm running 285's front and 295's rear for the summer. I have 13mm H&R spacers in front and 11mm H&R's in rear. For winter I run a 285 square setup with 13's all around.

Is there any difference in durability between the factory black finish and the after, armed powder coating?

Check out the (ferric grey?) set that carseatsm5 is running 863M to get an idea of a grey(ish) wheel. He’s stated he absolutely loves them. (I think they look fantastic, too).

Here is his post.

Thanks ResIpsaLoquitur !

I like lighter wheels a lot. Was concerned the all grey look wouldn’t work but am very pleased! Biggest problem I have now is keeping them clean. Plan to ditch the stock pads in the near future to fix that.
