MRG titanium stud conversion kit

Does anyone have any experience with any stud conversion kits? I've got a titanium one from MRG race and am thinking about installing it in my F90 in conjunction with my new Brixton Forged wheels but I'm a little hesitant and am curious if anyone has had one of these installed in their cars before and what the experience was. Thanks guys!

i did on my F82. make sure you go slowly, use a thread chaser before you put the studs in, have a very good high quality hex bit... don't force anything and make sure your torque is spot on.

personally i think the mrg studs look fantastic. a nice pop of bling.

I would do it on M2/M3/M4, but not feeling it on 5 series and up.

I am currently running these on my E63. I personally think they look great and sorta regret not getting the longer ones (I think they look better when they stick out). They are very light weight and unfortunately kinda soft (I mounted a wheel a bit crooked and rubbed some of the "titanium" off the threads of one of them). The installation instructions are pretty straight fwd (thread on at 20ft/lb). I have been using them for about a year now and no problems so far. Just remind your mechanics they are not to use impact guns on your shiny wheel hardware or they are buying you a new set.

I did install these guys. Look awesome and performance is on point. I went back after several hundred miles to re tighten them just to be real sure since we usually get down to Mexico every once in a while lol.
Here are some pics.

No you're correct there is no lug lock. However I found some online you can get but to be honest I'm crazy about them and don't want it.

I would be reluctant to install wheel studs on a CCB equipped car. When I had my 997 Porsche with PCCB’s, like the M5, it came with lug bolts. When you needed to remove a wheel, you would first remove a couple of lug bolts and replace them with a couple of long guide studs. Then when you removed the wheel the two long guide studs allowed you to slide the wheel off without fear of the wheel falling on the expensive carbon/ceramic brake rotor. It also facilitated remounting the wheel and again protect the brake rotor.

I do not have CCBs on my car (wasn't worth the money to me) but I get where you're coming from. However, this is a conversion kit instead of just a titanium lug kit. So the wheel will never fall even when you completely remove all 5 of the nuts. It physically can't due to the fact that the length of the stud is big enough to stick out outside of the wheel as you can see in pics above.

MRG does not make locks for these. Besides, it would be useless to have a "lock" when the studs are exposed and can be removed with a Hex bit.

Having this set of studs is like having 5 "guide studs". However, depending on wheel size, it'd still be possible to drop the inner aspect of the wheel barrel onto your brakes or brake dust cover.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but this is for anyone who might be in the market for MRG Titanium Studs. Steer clear from them! They may potentially kill you, and their customer service is absolutely terrible when confronted with it. They'll just block and ignore you.

I love mine. Swapping wheels is so much easier.

I bought regular grade 12.9 studs, not titanium. I like them for swapping wheels and run stud conversions on my personal cars. I have not had any problems other than buying a cheap set many years ago. Some racers change them periodically but racing puts a lot of stress on them. The ideal conversion are the integrated hub stud conversions with the studs pressed in from the back side like a factory would install studs, but these are much more expensive.

I bought 80mm and honestly think they are a little too long even with spacers. I’d estimate 60 without diapers and 70 with spacers would look better.
