My MBs don't have a physical dipstick but they still have a dipstick tube/port. So that you can suck out the oil from the top. Does the M5 have a port for this?

Not to my knowledge.

Garage List
The technical manual shows that they have modified the pistons to reduce the oil consumption on the F90's engine. Made me feel happier!

Glad to hear. F10 M5 oil consumption was really bad.

Not a single drop on my 75k mile F10 M5 CP. Always max fill line until I take the car in for oil changes. I did do the "harder" break in period in the beginning though, using lots of medium throttle pulls with lots of engine braking the first 50 miles of ownership. Blackstone oil analysis at 55k miles said everything was in tip top shape as well.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm picking the car late this week and will also follow your method of breaking the car in.

Can't wait to get the car. Wish time passes by faster
