My car was built in early April and needed the recall since my fuel gauge stopped working! Recall fixed the issue.

This impacted all cars produced before June 25th from what I was told. I would have the dealer perform it to be safe.

Same. Built in Feb, picked up 3/17. VIN check says 0 recalls.

Thursday it's mine!
Where'd you get that M engine cover? Is it not specific to US?
No it's specific to sports exhaust option.

BMW just released this recall 5pm last night.
Others get this notice yet or I might be the first, since I was taking a delivery tomorrow.
I'm so confused after reading this thread.

I picked up my car in April and had experienced car stopping and did the software recall fix. Interestingly I took my car in for some minor computer issues and says there's a recall on it.

So is there two diff recalls? I only did the software in the past.

Here are all my computer issues I've seen.

Not sure about the other messages that you've received but I believe there's a software update that resolves the early issue with the fuel pump/ sensor and a second one that involves a tie-wrap of some sort if I recall correctly.

Scan the threads and you can piece it together.

I've stopped reading those threads since my car's in production and should arrive with the early issues resolved, or so I hope.

My car started production July 2 and was done by July 12 .. I believe both recalls were before June 26.. however my car was held up at port in NJ to get the zip tie in the tank even though it was produced well after the knowledge about the zip tie fix for the float in the tank.. BMW must have a supply of fuel tanks that they need to use up first before they get to the fresh supply of tanks that don’t have that problem ??!!

Very odd comment! As a "car guy", i'm constantly popping the hood on request or on my own, showing people the car for first time. Also, will look great at car shows.
