Went to my dealer today to see what the update was.... instructions are out for how to fix the issue - parts are in production and will ship by this weekend. My dealer is expecting I get delivery by Monday/Tuesday as others have stated as well

My car just finished production yesterday... do you think it already has the updated parts? I’m due to get the car at the dealership mid August

Good news and in line with what I was told yesterday. Hopefully all of us who were impacted with this can take delivery asap next week.

I think you should be good. This only impacts cars produced on/before 6/25.

Production completion date of 6/13 - just received the dreaded e-mail. Timing TBD for parts, car potentially arriving at dealership Saturday (tomorrow). Hopefully resolved quickly with little issue...

As I tell my kids, put your patient pants on.

You'll be fine! Worst case, your dealer will already have part and replace immediately upon receipt. If you want, give them the heads up!

Monday/Tuesday as in 7/16-17 or the following week?

My car is still at the VPC waiting to have the work order completed with a new ETA of 7/19 and dealer delivery 7/22. Hoping the parts coming in asap - wait is killing since I was expecting to have the car by now

More teasing and torture, it's even connected to my BMW connected drive app already. I can just about taste it!
Salesman said they had to take it out of showroom delivery location. Attracted too much attention, even more than the i8.

That’s hard core torture !

Please post of the repair details when they become available. I hope it’s the sensor in the hose under the tank so the entire tank, etc doesn’t have to be removed.

Same thing here. Delivery due last Friday. Clock ticking!! Had to go and see her after she showed up on Remote! Couldn't see her on connected. Maybe a CANADA thing.

VPC

My M5 is also at the VPC right now. I just called the 800 number, and they told me that all the "work orders" have been completed at the VPC, and the car is waiting on a carrier to the dealer. I couldn't tell if they did the fuel sensor at the VPC already, or if they are waiting to let the dealer do it. Big difference on when I will get the car.
