Any Brake Pads at SEMA?

For those wandering around SEMA, have any vendors said that they are going to have brake pads soon for the M5?

Thanks

Sorry guys, I decided not to go this year since the past couple years, all SEMA covering are trucks.

I would've roam around for you guys on F90 M5 goodies.

I pinged Pagid last week about endurance pads (RS29's) and they said that they had no interest from F90 owners to this point. They indicated that they would consider it based on feedback from other potential buyers, so if you're looking for race-type pads, definitely make your voice heard.

Pagid makes the stock pads.

But,

I just put this beast on the track.

Phenomenal. But the M sport pads on it lose a little on a long brake zone (160mph to 60). Anybody know if old M5 pads fit? If they do, I'll be able to put some better pads on.

Thanks if anybody knows.

Shawn

p.s. And how did you reach Pagid to discuss F90 pads?

I would also like to communicate with Pagid to show my interest for pads for my coming M5C.

I usually do 6-8 tracks days a year and put their RS29 on my M4.

I sent an email to: infoUSA@tmdperformance.com

Here is the message thread:

At this time we have no plan for F90 pads M5 in USA or Germany in late 2018 or early 2019. If we have a spike in demand we will pursue it quickly. You are the first one this year in USA for the request.

Subject: Pagid RS29's for 2018 BMW F90 M5?

Hi there,
Will you be introducing a Pagid RS29 for the 2018 BMW F90 M5 and if so, any general guidance on timeline? I use your pads for my F80 M3 and would really like to use them on the M5.

Thank you!

Well here is my attempt to convince them...

Hi Jim,

So just heard from someone on Bimmerpost that you guys have had zero interest in pads for the F90 M5. You will probably have a large flood of requests incoming since anyone who tracks their M5 has been looking for a solution for the last 6 months with no vendors stepping up. We all thought the pad vendors were just not done yet. We as a community had no idea you guys thought there was zero interest. I think most of us BMW owners who track use pagids… so uh… of course we are looking for them for our new beasts.

Anyways hope you guys kick something out soon. The stock pads really don’t hold up to even mild track abuse.

Thanks,

Shane

I hit up PAGID recently as well; if we keep letting them know there's a customer base they will build it

Dear TMD Team,

I'm an HPDE instructor with BMWCCA, PCA, Hooked on Driving and Speed Ventures in California.

I recently acquired a 2018 BMW M5 and am interested in using it as my instructor car. I have found the stock pads to be inadequate at AutoClub Speedway for such a heavy car.

Please advise if you plan offering any performance solutions.

Cheers,
Mike

to me

Hello Mike,

Thank you for contacting TMD Performance / PAGID Racing. We are discussing the production opportunity with our counterparts in Germany. As of now, I do not have pads to support your F90. You are not my first email in 2018-19, so we are working to find a solution.

Regards,

Jim Emerson

Considering the front pads on the F90 are on international back order (duh, I wonder why..,), they should get their act together to put a better compound on those backing plates.

They now know the demand is there...
