Bootmod3 and HCP

Picked up a F90 M5 a couple weeks ago. Looking at getting a tune. Does anyone know the difference from the bootmod3 tune and HCP tune? It’s my understanding that Halim owns HCP but also does the base map tunes for bootmod3 but I noticed the cost of bootmod3 is like $1000 where HCP is I think $1500-1700.

Pls correct me if I’m wrong. Just wanted to know the difference between the two.

TIA

Hello,

I have done quite a few F90 both on BM3 and on HCP and they all run stong for over a year now. BM3 ots maps are a little softer and fuel flexibile ehile custom HCP adjusts it more to your fuel and are a bit stronger. You cant go wrong with both.

Only difference is that bm3 does not offer a TCU flash while HCP direct can do a TCU flash aswell.

Agreed!

I ran HCP Stage1+ (w/ DPs) just didn't want the Stage2 extra power at the time.. from August to December and couldn't find any competitor car to beat my car in roll-racing nor beat my Dragy times month after month.

I was one of the first cars that helped BM3 develop the OTS maps along 3 other friends of mine. HCP has been tuning these F90 since April 2018 in Europe.

The current Dragy 60-130 World Record Stock Turbo is currently HCP Tuned car from Bahrain (2 back to back runs).

It depends what you are looking for out of a tune and how much power you want to extract. Bootmod3 will work easiest if you have a 18-19 model, the 2020 models have a very very new bootloader that is preventing flashing the car without doing a OBD Patch Unlock via Bench.

My friends in NYC are BM3 and HCP Dealer and have done a few of my friends cars if you have any questions can PM anytime.

How much just for a HCP transmission tune? I have a 2018 and I’m experimenting with Jb4 and it seems the transmission is not keeping up with the power. Feels laggy and takes time between shirts at high rpms. Or is it in the jb4 itself. Like if I went bootmod3 would I feel the same thing.
