I bought some ACG Ceramic Kevlar pads and they are quiet and dust free and have noticed no difference in braking power, lets be honest, if you’re taking your M5 on the race track.....there’s much better cars for that.

Porterfield R4-S
I purchased the Porterfield R4-S from ACG Automotive back in December of 2019. The excessive brake dust and brake squealing when coming to a stop was annoying. While there is still brake dust it has been reduced considerably and I would say about 75% reduction. Also the squealing when coming to a stop has been reduced by 95%. Once in awhile it occurs but on a rare occasion. I highly recommend these brake pads over the stock steel brake pads.

But, one that's AWD, can haul four slicks in the rear seat, luggage AND track supplies in the trunk and obliterate every Miata on the track, and the boxters and Cayman's? And near the $100,000 price point. You'll be hard pressed to find a better car for the track that pushes all those buttons. I'll just leave my personal opinion right here: Shawn |

You can purchase the brake pads directly from Porterfield Brakes in Costa Mesa California. They are built to order and they recommended I buy them from ACG Automotive located in San Diego California where I reside. I bought them from ACG since I did not want to wait several weeks for them to be manufactured. I installed the brake pads myself (20 years in the USMC as a helicopter mechanic / Crew Chief on a UH-1N helicopter). No issues at all compared to the stock brakes. The brake dust and squeaking brake pads was out of control. I have been using them since December of 2019. Highly recommended over the stock pads.

I was at the event and tried to track you down in the paddock. I was in the purple Viper. You going to the event next month with SVT (VIR)? I'll probably taking my F90. What kind of times were you running? -Marko |

I'm a little slow, I haven't been running this beast 10/10ths especially in the uphill esses. I've been in the 2:09-2:20 range depending on traffic. I have to be really aggressive to get it to 2:09, but I have a few. My good, consistent laps are 2:12. The car probably has a 2:05 in it, but I don't have that much in my ass. Shawn |
