Battery charger?

With the current climate meaning only essential travel only I am not using my car at all. I purchased a CTEK MSX 5 charger but had a thought that it might not work on our lithium type batteries? Am I ok to use it or should I get another type of charger?

I believe CTEK do a charger specific for Lithium batteries but not sure if the one you have works with one, maybe email CTEK to be sure before connecting

I've been using my Noco genius G3500, it has a 12v li-ion mode. Works well.

Hi - I believe the CTEK MSX 5 is for lead acid so wouldn't risk it with your expensive F90 Li-Po battery. I've got the CTEK Lithium XS for mine and its seems good tucked up in it's Covid hibernation..

Looks like there are might be more cost effective options out there, I also like the look of the BMW one mentioned above that is switchable for between battery types and cars / motorbikes.

Yep, that's the one I've been using for about 3yrs. Got 3 cars it's currently charging one at a time as none are being driven. Even have to use it to charge my wife's Mini Countryman PHEV, as the engine kept starting even though the 7.6kw EV battery was fully charged, it seems that the normal electrics are 12v and fed off a standard battery which was running low due to only using the EV to do short trips the last month. Replaced a Ring Smart8 which crapped out.
