It takes too much time to setup too, and if you are not with your foot 100% in (touching the kick down) it just does not shift automatically
If you set one of the M buttons to sport and manual you can just smash the accelerator and brake - but yeah, anything more than a few seconds it seems to bog.

Tell me about it.
The only way I could launch it perfect is as soon as you see flags you let go
Otherwise it builds to much boost and spins or short shifts

Wich you can adjust the RPM LC

Mine launches perfectly 100% of the time. My 19 did also.

Complicated, how? Manual shift and Sport+ engine response and mash both puddles.

Perhaps you need a Prius. j/k

... err, then let go?

Agreed on the RPM adjustment, I miss that from my F06s/F10s.

Have you tried it 5 to 10 times in a row without cool down ?

No. Only 5 or 6. I've reached the point where it won't engage, don't recall the count.

You're doing better than me. I had 3 to 4 before it would just hit the limiter. But that was in the heat of summer also.

The first 3-4 were pretty awesome for a 4300lb sedan.

I still think it's the best Saloon car on the planet. Would buy another one.

It's cool or cold where I live and I strongly suspect that helps.

It is very simple, BMW designed the LC, to protect the car from damage.
However that might be annoying to people. (suck it up). They do not want to ruin their branding.
Just like other cars said if you LC, you will lose warranty.
And then meanwhile 911, Launch, 100 times, great we like it.
I've had laugh fails, when I knew the car was not not up to temps in all areas.
And on longer trips, I'm like lets try the LC and works perfect.
Is what it is, don't get your pink panties on to tight tonight.

Ewww, I'm so pleased--I certainly enjoyed it and I do so like to share the love.

Sadly, the weather's not playing ball today so I imagine I'd nail a 0-60 without actually moving (especially in RWD mode).

// EDIT: just saw the suffix: HOLY $HIT, Batman--that's quite some way off methinks!
