Nope, I like much better the existing one. Same goes for the round digital dials rather than live cockpit

The M8/X5M shifter looks cheaper in comparison. And I too, love the round dials in my 2019 M5 over the live cockpit in my 2020 X7. I wanted to add a 2018 M3 as my daily driver but will probably settle for a 2020/2021 M340i because I don't want to have to deal with 3 separate shifter setups across the board.

I actually prefer the throttle response selector on the top BUT i do agree that the leather one looks a bit better overall I think the current shift knob is a tad too big. It can look better with the carbon side trim but over 200 bux for that is outrageous.

Personally, I prefer the M5 gear knob, looks more high tech than a simple leather knob. But these all boils down to individual tastes. For those that like a simpler and more luxurious look will go for the leather knob.

One reason I love the M5 is the shift knob. I really hate the huge joystick ones that come on regular BMWs. The analogy is stupid, as a joystick on an airplane is what steers it. Same with Audi's airplane throttle looking shifter. Both look to of place with the rest of the interior design. Porsche has it right, make it as little as possible.

CF F90 Shifter is BEtter!
The M8/X5M leather shifters aren't my favorites. I think the F90 shifter, with the added CF is perfect!
