Hard wired the V1. I think I taped up the gesture control window. Did I? Is there another location I should be taping? Did I not go all the way to end of each side? Anyone do this successfully? Pls share some advice.

Thx

You are still having issues after using all of that tape over the sensor window? I have just one piece of electric tape over the center of the window and no problems with the gesture control causing false alarms. I am using an Escort radar instead of the V1. Did you disable gesture control in idrive?

Looks really ghetto...
I'd have it removed and painted before I'd look at that every time I drive.
FYI- Escort 360 max + blendmount and no issues with gesture control.

Just used one piece of tape and cut off Gesture Control and it quit alarming. BTW, did you do the mirror tap or pay someone?

Based on that tape job I'm going to go out on a limb and say a tech was paid. 😂

Lol. I don't disagree. I'll clean it up but to be honest, you can't even see it. It's facing fwd. I'll need to make another attempt. V1 was wired to ignition power with its own fuse. Same for waylens
