I had OBDLink MX+ BT and it was so damn slow which is similar issue with any BT adapter. I ended up going with ENET cable and Ethernet to Lightning. Connected direct from iPhone to OBD port. It's so fast, almost instantaneous after saving the changes. It's cheaper than going premium BT module.
Can you provide the link?

7) Disabled the forever on headlights regardless of light switch position. Now my headlights and DRL can be completely off even when engine is running.
8) Enabled last memory for air-conditioning recirculating function.
9) Chimes to Roll Royce. The chimes has been changed to the rolls royce type including the reverse and front sensors to a nicer sounding rolls royce tone.

That is all I can remember for now and will add-on when I recall more functions being coded. For bimmercode that is a restore function therefore if you have done something wrong especially in expert mode, you can restore your last coding to the previous settings.
Hi Dapper...I really want to disable the honk feature when my car is running and I want to lock it. What OBD connector did you use to get it to do these codings with Bimmercode?

I have this Veepeak from my F10, but it didn't give me the full menu options do to the horn I believe.

These are all the adapters that BimmerCode supports. Looks like the one you linked is supported. So download the app and start trying to code it. You should be fine.

Thanks I tried, but it didn’t give the full spectrum of options for the F90. I think there was another thread covering this.

Did you purchase the full version of the App?

Should be working. Check with their support. For me it was only not working fully when I haven't purchased the full version of the app

I'm using OBDLink, the one that has a blue check mark in my photo. I have coded my M5 and 3 other cars to full compatibility. Like I said my app was restricted until I bought the full subscription within the app.

Hi YanoM5, I got this Bluetooth obd adaptor recommended for use with bimmercode. Do take note the adaptor depends on what type of device you are using. Ios or Android. As for disabling the horn when engine is running and you lock the door, yes, you can disable it via bimmercode. I did it for my cars too.

I used this for android

For bimmercode recommended adaptors, check out the link below.

Hi Dapper, thanks for taking the time time to reply. I have one of the adapters on the list you attached and I'm pretty sure I have the full version, but I'll double check.

I'm running iOs (Apple). I may try again and ensure I'm running the full Bimmercode app version, if not I may try the adapter you are using. Thanks again.

I haven't been able to code anything in iDrive. Whenever I go to head unit it gives me error and doesn't show anything. Everything else works fine. I have the Ethernet cable and Bluetooth both still same issue.

Bimmercode needs to be paid to enjoy the full coding functions.

You are most welcome. Glad I could be of help. Cheers!

i got the ethernet/lightning adapter listed earlier but my phone rarely wants to recognize the car. I got it to recognize it once and coded most everything. Didn't get into the expert mode at all but damn it was fast compared to wifi/bluetooth versions! anyone know how/why the phone doesn't seem to want to connect? any tips?

Make sure phone is in airplane mode then connect OBD Wire to the phone and launch the app. If still doesn't work close the app and start again and it should work.

Ok I'll try. Damn phone keeps trying to connect to car play which isn't helping.

That worked better this time. Unfortunately the connector for my obd2 is pretty lose so if I breathe wrong it comes loose. Just gotta be careful but I wish this was option a few years back when I was coding my F15. So much faster.

is there a listing of the coding that can be done in expert mode or ESYS? wouldn't mind diving into expert mode to give some things a try.

You understand that knowing the module alone is akin to listing your home address as "USA", right?

The last time I coded anti-dazzle myself was maybe 4 years ago and it required 20+ FDL-coding changes and a bit of VO coding. This is an easy way to brick your car. I'd recommend paying for it. In addition, this is a moving target and maintaining pace with the changes requires a significant investment in time. I'm confident I can do it myself given the necessary reading but my time is worth more to me than the cost of a remote coding session.

Just my tuppence...
