Had some free time Friday and knocked a few things out...

A few notes on installation -- the install videos made it look so much easier and faster than it turned out to be Getting my hand into a position that would allow to squeeze the tabs on the back of the reflectors was a cruel joke. Getting the Acexxon rear reflector inserts in was a 5 second process after with no problem at all. Also, the hood roundel is secured by black plastic grommets and absolutely no adhesive. Running the fishing line around it was unnecessary as the provided silicone pry tool was sufficient. The grommets were transferred to the back of the new roundel and fit right back in snugly.

Items installed:
  • IND painted hood roundel (gloss black)
  • IND painted trunk roundel (gloss black)
  • IND painted trunk emblem (gloss black)
  • IND painted front reflectors (Nardo grey)
  • Acexxon painted rear reflector inserts (gloss black)

The hood and trunk roundels I think are under-utilized, but I think they're a must-have! Glad to see someone else putting them on. Car looks awesome.

Appreciate the kind words guys. The little details really do add up and make a bigger statement. Car is going in for paint correction, PPF, ceramic coating, and window tint starting tomorrow... It's going to be a sad rest of the week without her.

Dropped the car off this morning and was told it's going to be anywhere from 1-2 weeks... They mentioned they might try to work on the tint if they can today. I just wanted to check in to make sure it was pulled inside and OOPS!

So they finished things up earlier than I anticipated and got to pick it up Saturday evening! Couldn't be happier with the results.

They really know what they're doing and the quality was top-notch. Anyone in the Houston area should definitely check Vive Auto Detailing out.

Nice, but does a brand new car really need all that cleaning? Especially the interior?

It was part of their new car protection package. One could argue it's overkill, sure. Like prepping the paint before applying ceramic coating on top-- it makes sense to get the interior leather squeaky clean before applying ceramic coating on top of it as well.

Took it to Vivė Auto Detailing, about 5 minutes from the Galleria.

On another note, driving in to work this morning it was super foggy and I got a few drops of water on the windshield... That Glassparency stuff WORKS! The droplets would hit the windshield and looked like they were exploding
