^ This always works for me. If you’re US football fan think old school Tom Dempsey kicking a field goal. If you’re Euro football fan, think Neymar doing a toe poke.

Same here. Just stand at the back of the car centered between the tail lights facing the front of the car and swing your leg straight towards the front of the car with your foot going under the bumper. Works every time for me opening and closing the trunk.

A nice feature I found is you can add activation points to when the idrive screen auto switches to camera view.
E.g. when your pulling up to your house and want to miss the plant pots in front, or when I'm parking up at the tiny car park at my sons nursery and want to miss hitting the big rocks they've placed on the edges.

When you are at the actual physical point you want to auto switch on the camera, click the surround view button on the center console > then on the left of the screen you can select 'Activation' points. Go into that menu item and you can manage Activation points including adding a new one.

You obviously need the surround view function that comes with the Comfort Pack - I think! The owners manual says you can store 10 activation points. Also configure whether it uses the address or GPS co-odinates.

Bumping this up to see if there are any additional quirks or observations that can be added. Much Thx.

I believe this was posted in another section, but holding the volume knob in for around 20-30 seconds will hard reset the electronics. If you have a connection issue with your CarPlay or Bluetooth connection this absolutely does the trick.

I've noticed that in manual mode from a stop, you can shift into 2nd gear before actually moving. Kinda nice to get a smoother start when driving more casually.

I've also noticed plastic air scoops behind the rear tires... Not exactly sure what those do.
Plastic air scoops underneath and behind the rear tires are for cooling the battery area. Lithium battery can get pretty warm.

As a new owner, does anyone else have any good tips or tricks? Especially for the LCI

If your Apple Car Play randomly won't connect, just reset the entire Infotainment System by pressing the volume knob for about 30 seconds. The screen will go black and everything will reset. It should reconnect to your iPhone once it's back up.

This one is old and works on mostly all bmw's. If you press the main center upper light switch on and press it again and hold it until it turns off the lights no longer turn on and off when opening or closing the doors.
