My 2008 335i Coupe Jet Black/Black
Hey guys,
I've had the car since Dec 2010, but I'm just now getting around to posting pictures. I've been loving every chance I get to drive the car. It is bone stock except for the V1 setup which I did myself. The options/packages are in my signature. I know the car is a little dirty. I ran it through an automatic car wash (a sin I know) and it did a not so great job. I tried to capture what the V1 looks like from the outside. It was pretty difficult to get it to come out any better. The V1 is mounted as high as possible without putting the sensor behind any of the factory tinted glass towards the top of the windshield. It is also hardwired to the fusebox using the fuse tap method from the DIY article here. I used the fuse for the cigarette lighter. Here is my color concealed display. I'm still on the fence on the location. It blocks everything under the gear indicator. If I need to read something, I can lean up and easily read it, but not from normal driving position. There's not a whole lot of options for where to put the display so I may just live with it. Then, today my passenger side angel eye/DRL went out on me. Thankfully, I'm still under the New Car Warranty and they are fixing it this Friday for free. Plans for the future are: Adding OEM Alarm PROcede V5/Meth System 19" VMR VB3 Wheels (and maybe H&R Sports) These are definite wants, just not sure when they would happen. (Just put an offer in on a house today.) And the dream wish list would include: AR Designs DP HPF FMIC HPF Exhaust Let me know what you guys think!

I'm on the fence about tint also. I feel like it's going to make the aluminum window trim stand out more which I wish was black and not aluminum. Passenger side angel eye/DRL went out today actually. Stealership is fixing it Friday morning under New Car Warranty.

so jealous of your V1 setup! I keep putting off hardwiring, but it definitely is worth it...
Car look great and the mods you have planned will compliment nicely

Hardwiring was really rather easy. The DIY on E90Post makes it pretty foolproof. I did the fuse tap using the cigarette lighter fuse (because that's where it would be plugged into if it wasn't hardwired). The wire from the V1 Main Unit gets tucked into the headliner and runs down the A-pillar and down to the fuse box. This is the DIY I followed basically. Just with a V1 instead of a Passport: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111583 and I used a different fuse to tap. Everything is ziptied nice and neat. Should have taken pictures, but I figured there were already enough DIY's on this process.
